Grinder energy saving application

Grinding machines used in standard machining, grinding wheel motors are operated according to the traditional starting circuit. After the motor starts, it runs according to the rated speed. Due to the fluctuation of the grid voltage, the friction load of the grinding wheel workpiece changes continuously, which will affect the motor speed error. The standard grinding wheel motor starting circuit generally has only one processing speed, which is difficult to adapt to different workpiece size requirements. The speed is so tight that the precision of the workpiece being machined is difficult to guarantee. Therefore, from the aspects of improving processing quality processing efficiency and saving energy, the frequency conversion speed regulation technology is applied to the grinding machine, and satisfactory results can be obtained.

The machining industry has a wide variety of products, different workpiece sizes and different processing precisions. Relatively speaking, the rotation speed of the grinding wheel is different at the main axis speed. It is difficult to adjust the spindle rotation speed to meet the workpiece processing line speed. Due to the stress bending caused by the shaft machining process, the grinding wheel will produce different grinding wheel feed torques, which will bring about different changes in the output speed/torque of the grinding wheel, and correspondingly produce the vibration knife pattern/burning paste, etc. It is difficult to guarantee, resulting in low production efficiency and low quality.

With the development of power electronics technology, frequency conversion speed regulation technology has become more and more popular, and the application of frequency converter in the machining industry has received good results. Among them, the stepless speed regulation of the frequency converter, the soft start and the constant torque output greatly satisfy the requirements of the constant speed/constant torque of the machining equipment.
